Pipes filled with liquid are buried several feet below ground, usually done in the yard or driveway. Temperatures below ground remain consistent at 55% all year round so there is always significant energy available to heat your home.
The liquid in the pipes is then able to absorb this trapped heat energy and transfer it to the geothermal heat pump. The pump removes the heat from the liquid and passes it through ducts, similar to how traditional furnaces work.
